In 2004, Scott proved that he is one of the top players on the AVP Tour after winning his first career title at the Tempe Open with partner Todd Rogers and then taking home the prestigious "Best of the Beach" in Honolulu.
He played with Todd Rogers from 2002-2005. Just missed qualifying for the 2004 Olympics, finishing as the third-ranked U.S. team in the two-year process. Rogers and Scott were the fourth-highest ranked team worldwide to not qualify for the Olympics (due to country quotas). The duo advanced to the semifinals in six of the seven AVP events they played in 2004, the second most of any team despite missing several events to play internationally.
Scott was named the Most Improved Player in 2005 after winning the final three team events in 2005, in Boulder, Chicago and Hawaii. Scott finished the 2005 season leading the Tour in hitting percentage (.454) while ranking second in kills (1,322), seventh in blocks (287), ninth in aces (48) and 10th in kill percentage (.579). In 2006 Scott was sixth in blocks (1.68 per game) and eighth in kills (6.87 per game). He was chosen by Rogers to be his partner in the finals of the 2006 God of the Beach tournament, helping Rogers to the title.
Scott was named 1999 Rookie of the Year and in 2001 he played in eight AVP events with four top four finishes.
Scott currently resides in Redondo Beach, California with girlfriend and AVP Pro Beach Volleyball player, Rachel Wacholder. Those two both won titles in Boulder in 2005 on the same weekend.
A native of Kailua, Oahu, Scott started playing volleyball at the age of 15 and continued to play collegiately at the University of Hawaii where he graduated with a degree in Sociology.
